Trick or Treat

Last night my greatniece and her Mom came over before trick or treating time and they asked me if I wanted to go along. She was dressed as a zombie but blogger refuses to let me post the picture. Maybe blogger doesn't like pictures of zombies. I went along for about an hour. I had truly forgotten how much fun trick or treating can be. We drove along slowly while the zombie went door to door (the ones with porch lights on that is) and collected goodies in her bag. The fun part was when she got back in the van and we snatched that goodie bag and took out our favorite things to eat! One person had given her a pack of straws. That's different. I had to dig deep to find a Kit Kat. Couldn't find a single Musketeer bar in the bunch and only one Kit Kat. What is wrong with people? Don't you know that that is what the grown ups like???

We don't have trick or treaters here. Even if I left my porch light on no one would come. Last year they came over and she had a little friend with her. Well, I had no candy in the house at all. I ended up getting goodies out of her bag then too. She got more Kit Kats last year. They are not her favorite so she was glad to part with them. Some things she liked she would say, "Oh don't take that one," and so I didn't, but there was some I liked that she was happy to part with.

They brought me home and were going to go to a subdivision closer to their house, but I estimated she already had enough candy to make her sick for about 4 days.

Our daughter had over 100 trick or treaters. Our grandsons came home with enough loot to last till Christmas at least!

You might should have gone to that other subdivision too. I'll bet all that candy wouldn't make you sick.

I added the Market Center Street Center links to my blog today and a story about our Halloween experience there in the comments.
Thanks for coming earlier and for your nice comment.

e-Mail me and I'll give you a quick lesson on how to add those pictures right now in edit mode.
Blogger has them, they just won't show until you follow my procedure.
I have been doing this for quite a while now.

We didn't have many kids last night because of the cold weather. I've got a couple bags of Kit Kats left over. The secret is to buy what YOU like in case there are left overs.

We live on a dangerous road and never have any trick or treaters but last night we had one...And they scared the living daylights out of me. Our porch light was off and our granddaughter brought Dylan over. He was a cute little tiger. I didn't get a picture because he moved to fast.

I had to smile when I read your post. I went to my daughters Halloween day and she had a HUGE bowl filled with all kinds of candy bars (fun size) for her visitors. Of course I grabbed a Kit-Kat.
I was invited to go trick or treating with my daughters and their little ones bit chose to stay home and have a fairly quiet evening. They came here with my three little granddaughters. It was great. I should post a picture on my blog.
