The Color of Fall

Yesterday afternoon I took a drive to see some fall colors. It was a drab day with mostly no sun, and around 50 degrees. So a good day for a drive. Starting off here are the first colors I saw.

I came to this bridge that crossed over the railroad tracks. That was a high bridge too and kind of gave me the willies getting close to the edge to take the pictures, since I'm not a big fan of heights. But the view was worth it.

Next I came to this sign and so I decided I just had to drive down Dead Ox Hollow Road!

This was the view driving down Dead Ox Hollow Road and eventually I crossed another bridge going back over the railroad tracks again.

Finally I drove into a park and saw 3 deers. I got the picture of this one as they hurried across the road.

Sounds like you had a good time. Those colors are great. And, yes, I would have asked the question - did you see a dead ox. I see you answered it before I could ask.

You are very brave to get a picture from the bridge. It looks very high to me.
Your pictures are so pretty, especially the one with colored leaves.
It seems that Autumn is happening everywhere.

Dead Ox Hollow Road...what a name! We sure do have some colorful names here in our state, don't we?

Your fall pictures are gorgeous...I bet it's breathtaking there where you live. It's always a treat to be able to get a picture of a deer because they run so fast.

Your pictures are breathtaking..no wonder I love this time of year:-) Our trees are now all bare so I'm really missing all the Autumn colours that we had up until a week ago! What luck to get a picture of those deer! I'm terrified of heights so I don't think I would have been able to stand on that bridge to take a picture below it...ugh! lol

Wow, the colors are really great! I need to get out to Red River Gorge and see them...

You're also making me miss the colors of East Tennessee. They are just as spectacular.

The fall colors here are so pretty too. It seemed like they changed overnight! I really love the dark wine colors that some of the trees turn to. What a lovely time of year this is. I wish it would last longer before the cold sets in. Last year was fairly mild, so maybe this year will be a mild winter also.
I've gotta hit the road to drive to school now.
Take care and eat some truffles. I will too!!
