Creepy Crawly Acorn Heads

I'm not sure what these things are but I find them around here sometimes. Outside that is. They are pretty big, about 4 inches long. I usually see them out on the driveway or crawling up the wall of the garage. I just wondered if anyone knew the proper name for these? I generally pick them up and toss them over the hill. I guess that could be considered cruelty to worms? Or cruelty to a creepy crawly?

Here I am with all my blogging friends. I am in the 3rd row from the top, 4th from the left, the one with the nice brown face! We pretty much all look alike don't we? You know who you are so you can pick yourself out! And yes, green was the handiest marker I could find.

Things a little slow on the home front Rachel??
Maybe a good book or you could bake a cake, take a picture of it and make us all feel left out.
I've been accused of being 'corny' but never 'acorny'.
Btw, the horses are ready for someone to ride them. Come on out.

How are they fixed - deep fried? We have a lot of acorns from the Live Oaks in these parts, too. .... no smileys though. ;-)

The "bug" looks like poop with legs. Perhaps it's from a dog who is eating a lot of thread.

Thanks for posting the picture of all us bloggers. I feel more secure knowing that we all look similar..

I call those centipedes. HIDEOUS!!!
We had one of those fall out of the air vent in our family room ceiling once, and my son nearly died of fright. It was hilarious!

I see ME! I'm the one smiling because I just ate a truffle.

That looks like a centipede or millipede. I've never been able to bring myself to pick one up though. You are so brave.

I'm the acorn in the 3rd row, 2nd from the left & Jimmy is right between us.

Very cute post Rachel...I love the little acorn faces.

I'll be the smiley one on the bottom. Thanks.
You can call it a centipede because of all its legs. If it has a hard shell then we call them centipedes.
