Saturday News and Sunday Signs

It was a beautiful day today!! Just to my liking, with a high of almost 60 and sunshine. Tomorrow is going to be 70 and sunshine! YES!!!

I have been preparing myself for Cathy's visit, my friend that is coming to visit me from England. I will pick her up at the airport tomorrow evening!! I'm so excited!! She said she probably wouldn't be able to sleep tonight with her excitement. Even as I write this at 11 p.m. it is 4 a.m. there and they are getting up at 4:30 so she can get to the airport.

I have tried to attack all the cobwebs in the house so she won't think that those are the focal points in homes like on "The Munsters." Sometimes when I see cobwebs I think that is the look I'm going for!! Not intentionally of course!

I don't think she'll take the time to read this before she leaves. I really don't have a lot of things planned. One thing I did plan is for us both to have facials and manicures and it will be a surprise for her (which is why I don't want her to read this!) I have never had either one. I think she will enjoy that since she is one of those people that worries about wrinkles, and well.....it's already too late for me to worry about them! This facial is going to be an hour and a half long. Goodness gracious, my face hasn't had that much attention in years!! Lord knows I can use a manicure. I just wonder what they can do with my chipped and cracked nails. During the winter my nails get really bad but they do much better during the summer for some reason. I wash my hands a LOT but I do use lotion before going to bed most of the time.

I will learn more about England this week and she will learn about America. We will have lots of laughs and I will show her the sights around here. It will be fun!!

Here are two church signs and I do hope I haven't posted either of these before. I don't think I have, but I have been wrong before.

TWO SUNDAY SIGNS

Rachel, I have posted your "pay it forward" to my blog right under the article about "Zombie/Junk" debt.

I am glad that you are excited about your visit with Cathy. I hope you have fun getting your facials. Have lots of fun.

Love the church signs! A grudge will "poison the vessel that it resides in". Resolve the grudge and be free again.

Hi Rachel! I am excited for you that your friend Cathy is visiting. You two will have a great time together. Don't worry about not having anything planned. Spur of the moment outings are the best.

As always love the Sunday sign.

Well have a great time with your friend. Lisa

Good Morning Rachel,
We have had Spring like weather here all weekend as well. It's suppose to be up to 72 degrees today and a cold front is coming thru on Monday night and turn cold again. I have really enjoyed this nice weather tho. I know you are excited about your friend, Cathy coming for a visit. The facial and manicure sounds devine. I have never had a facial either and would love to have one. It's too late for my wrinkles too. LOL. I used to have my nails done a couple of years ago, but never a manicure. I could use one of those as well. Isn't it funny how those cob webs just creep up in your house and stay? We have them too. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. Loved the Church signs as always and so very true.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Your weather will be coming to us tomorrow. Maybe it will melt the ice and snow. Of course I love all your church signs. They are so very clever whoever thinks them up. I'm looking forward to hearing about your visit with your friend, Cathy, from England. It just sounds like it is going to be so much fun for you guys.

That sign about holding a grudge is funny and so true.
I've let some bees really sting me a LOT over the years.

Have FUN!! You will enjoy getting a facial. It is very relaxing, and your face will be cleaner than it has ever been. Also, your skin will feel as soft as a baby's butt.
I haven't had a facial in a long time, but I remember how wonderful they feel. ENJOY!!!!!!!

How nice to have your friend visit! I just hope she leaves the CREATURE home! Funny how my stomach just froze when I saw that picture. And to think I got thru all those years in the classroom without ever letting my kids know I was scared to death of spiders!

You must be so excited to have a friend from England coming to visit and I'm sure she'll have lots of fun with you.

Those church signs look familiar, hehehe. (not that you've posted them before) I just recognize the churches.

Maybe you can talk Cathy into starting her own blog.

It sounds like you will have a good time. I hope you both enjoy the facial and manicure. I've never had either but my daughter has and liked it.
I'd rather go fishing or work in the garden.

As for your friend, I hope she leaves her spiders at home!

Rachel, please enjoy your visit. And the manicure and facial. You can tell us all about your adventures after her visit.

I've had manicures but never facials.
The cosmetology depart gave manicures and haircuts free for college staff on their birthdays.
I enjoyed the hot was treatment a lot. I don't think it did a bit for me, but will do a lot for you guys.
