Roses and Wild Horses

I wanted to share some more pictures from the rose garden I got to visit last month over at Renfro Valley, KY. It was an awesome place and this is all in this couple's back yard. It is supposed to be in a quilt pattern. I would love to go back again. I was amazed at how many roses(200) they had and what good condition they were all in. He takes care of them and obviously does a wonderful job and he must enjoy it. He certainly does a fantastic job! You should be able to enlarge all these photos for a better view.

I've been sitting here listening to Susan Boyle sing "Wild Horses." It's so beautiful. I've just been listening over and over again. That's one of those songs you just want to sit back and close your eyes, relax, and just enjoy listening. At least for me! This is a song that the Rolling Stones sung but she does it sooo much better, IMO. If you may recall she was on Britian's Got Talent, but she didn't win, but came in 2nd, as I recall. She blew them away singing "I Dreamed a Dream," which was also beautiful! She has a CD coming out late in November. I have already pre-ordered mine from Amazon.com. This song will be on there and "I Dreamed a Dream" but that's about all I know about it.

The roses are gorgeous, and a lot of work, I'm sure!

I love Susan Boyle, but haven't heard her sing Wild Horses. I'll have to do a search on YouTube and look it up.

Hope you're having a good week, Rachel. :o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

The rose garden is lovely.

Susan Boyle is a unique character. I am glad she has made a CD and will earn some fame and fortune from her talent.

It makes you wonder how many other people are hiding their light under a bushel.

The roses are just beautiful and I love how they have them laid out in the yard. I love Susan Boyle, too. Just heard her sing that on America's Got Talent last night. What about Kevin Skinner winning? I really thought the other girl would win but glad it was someone from Kentucky.

She is a terrific, natural talent who has one of those rare voices that really impresses and touches the heart.

What a back yard garden!! Those people must work hard to keep it looking so beautiful.

Hello, Rachel. It's been awhile. I hope you are doing well lately. I can't believe that autumn is nearly here.
This summer has flown by.

Hi Rachel, we like her singing too. I guess the whole world does. We didn't know a CD, that is great. Poor lady, she got the break she deserved.

The roses are beautiful. I do believe that if you'd ask he would give you some cuttings to take home and plant. Most will.
Billy's (SIL) Dad has roses. Some are his invention and he has patents on them.
It takes a large lot to do what he has done with a rose garden.

It appears that America loves the Rocky stories more than the Brits. Susan Boyle had a knock out and just like Rocky, she lost the fight but she won the battle. I think her loss in Britain had to be on purpose because she had a hissy fit and they showed her by golly. Well, in the end, she will show them. Whew, I didn't know I felt so passionate about this.

Love, love, love your friend's rose garden. If only I could raise such beauties!

Hi Rachel! Wow!! 200 rose bushes. It must smell heavenly. Their entire garden is gorgeous.

Susan Boyle is the perfect example of 'not judging a book by it's cover.' I literally cried the first time I heard her sing, 'I Dreamed a Dream.' Lisa

I'm going to have to find that song and listen to it. I love music and would have an ipod in my ear all day long if I didn't have to talk to anyone.

Love your Sunday Sign and where is that rose garden near Renfro? It' looks very pretty.
