The Tomato Nose

We had some threatening clouds but only got a few sprinkles.

I got this tomato in some I got from the Farmer's Market. Looks like he was trying to grow a nose and did a good job of it, even if it is very pointed!!

So far that's the weirdest tomato I've seen this year. I wonder what happened to it. It's a good example of cells going astray and mutating...maybe into a defense mechanism.

Maybe it's to keep the birds from pecking at it by mimicking a bird and growing its own beak. That way birds will just think its another bird and leave it alone.

Get out some paint and make him some eyes and a mouth. I bet you already ate that tomato though, so it's probably too late.

Those little doggies are sooo cute!!

I hope you are having a good week.
