Meeting a Blogger Friend!!!

Today was great. Just great!! I got to meet one of my blogging friends. They just hopped on their motorcycle and rode here. I felt like I knew her already from reading her blog, so I had no worries! Abandoned in Pasadena (Sandy) and her husband Jimmy were just as nice of folks as you'd ever want or hope to meet.

We sat here and chatted for a long time and then I took them to Lee's Ford Marina where we ate at the Harbour Restaurant. I have mentioned that place a couple of times in my blog and she said in a comment that she wanted to go there. So I told her that they should just come here first and visit me and then we could go there together, and they took me up on it!!

It was pretty warm today but we sat outside on the deck to eat. We were the only ones brave enough to sit out there so it was real quiet and peaceful. It wasn't that bad. The deck is covered. Naturally we took pictures!
I don't know why my camera made my shirt look like this but it did. It was just a red striped shirt. She may post a better one on her site.

After we left there we went to Haney's Apple Farm. Then I drove them around some more to show them a few sights off the beaten path.

Time passed quickly and all too soon it was time to come home. Then it was time for them to leave.

Thanks for the visit Sandy and Jimmy. I had a super enjoyable day!! You are great folks and welcome here anytime!

That is fabulous you got to meet a blogging buddy. What a wonderful day you had together! I love how they hopped on the motorcycle and made the journey. I just got to meet a fellow blogger and was absolutely thrilled. We had a great time when we met at the CGOA (crochet conference) in PA.

Sounds like you had a great day. By the way, I had a shirt that looked just like the way the camera made yours look back in the 70's

It is wonderful to be able to meet your blogging friend. I wish I would have some blogging friends that would be visiting the Philippines and maybe I can bring them around.
Thanks for dropping by.

I'm so glad she didn't turn out to be a serial killer...

(Just kidding. This is the reaction of several people I know who are aghast when I tell them that I've actually met people from the internet.)

This was a wonderful visit you guys had! It surely made your week, maybe the whole month.
I read Sandy's post, it was very informative too, about the visit.
Did you know they rode motorcycles before they came? They could have been some of those California 'Angels.'
I used to ride with the San Jacinto High Rollers. Some of them/us looked pretty tough.

Wonderful news Rachel! :)
I've met several nice people cautiously via the internet but only emailed, chatted online, or spoke on the cell phone because all of the terrific folks I've connected with live more than a day's drive away. I'm a cautious type but these few people have become dear friends. We keep in touch due to the wonders of free technology.

If they lived closer, it would have already happened!Glad it did for you all. You both look so happy! However, we all are looking forward to meeting and have made plans for it to finally happen in a few months and through the coming year. I can't wait! :)
