Saturday and Sunday

Sorry I haven't blogger in awhile but this week was busy. Seems like there was something going on every day and sometimes more than one thing. You know I can't handle too much in one day! My husband had to have a tooth pulled. The dog had a visit to the vet for yet another ear infection. (Arghhhhh). I recently had my lawn mowers worked on so I got them out to use and the riding mower had a low tire again. They were supposed to fix it, not just put air in it. (Arghhhhh). The push mower would not start after I had pulled on it for at least 50 times. (Major Arghhhh). I was pretty upset (and it takes a lot for me to get upset), and I called them up and told the manager just how angry I was. He said they would come and get them right then. I told him there better not be any bill with it either!! They took them both away on Friday and they still have them. In the meantime my neighbor (bless his sweet heart) mowed my lawn.
Today was great! I got to meet a blogger buddy!! Jerry from Back Home Again came through and we met for lunch. He was just so nice!! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him. He was on his way to TN to meet another blogger. He is trying to meet as many bloggers as he can!
Here we are today.

Look what he brought me!! TRUFFLES!! I know that Jamie Dawn will be so jealous!! These are made in the city where he lives. Very thoughtful of him to bring me a box of those.

Here are two Sunday church signs.

Rachel, you have been very busy! It is nice that the neighbor mowed for you. You have to watch that in the hot weather, the heat might be too much for you mowing.

I'm glad you got to meet Jerry too. Especially glad too, that you got a good picture of him.
I always picture him in my mind as being that pig he has in his driveway.
I don't follow all his commenters so I'm not sure who in Tennessee he is visiting.

Church signs are good, usualthanks.

Jim said it best. My thoughts exactly. Jerry is welcome on Long Island if he's passing through NY... as long as he brings some of those truffles ;)

How nice that you got to meet another blogger in person.

I hope that next week is a better week for you and things aren't so hectic, so you can slow down and enjoy this lovely weather we're having.

I guess I am upset with Jerry. Seems like this is the second trip he has made to meet other bloggers without stopping by to pick me up. First it was Cliff now you. I wrote Jerry awhile back and asked - drop by to pick me up, what is a few thousdand miles among blogger buddies? I am starting to think Jerry doesn't want to drop the dime (or in this case the $250 on gas) to pick me up.
Okay, serious, glad you had a good time. I hope one day I will get to meet Jerry, and Miki, and Cathy, and You, and . . .

Did you count the silverware after Jerry left?
Jerry's good at mowing lawns. You missed out there.
Looks like you're going to get your wish. There won't be a bill for the mowers this time. They probably aren't going to bring them back.
I see you said you 'pulled' your 'push' mower to start it. THAT could be the problem.
On the other hand you might try 'pulling' it again. About 60 mph behind your car this time.
Okay, I'm done.

What a nice neighbor to cut your lawn. I think it would be cool to meet bloggers that I've gotten to know over the years of writing. What a riot we'd all have together. Maybe someone should organize a blogger cruise. Some interesting and funny stories would come out of that I'll bet.

Don't you just hat when all the machinery-type-thingys go wonky? I hope they are able to fix those mowers, my dear..And both your hubby and the dog needing doctors of sorts...I know it has to be quite a deal to take your husband to the dentist...You are a wonderful person Rachel....
How FUN that you had a great lunch with a fellow blogger and, And AND..TRUFFLES! Hooray! The box looks quite delightful! I hope you will let us know how they are...! Yummmy, I'm sure. (I just finished a bit of chocolate, myself....lol)

I am with you Rachel, on "not enough hours in the day." That is how we felt this weekend here at La Casa Miki. We had baseball for the little one, and the big one on Sat. Sun. baseball for the middle one, and fertilizer to get down on the lawn, a grill to go buy, a carpet to clean. etc. By the time we sat down to dinner, it was after 7 both nights! Thank goodness that the time change gives us more light.

Rachel,
It was so good to finally meet you. And at Backyard Burger, no less. One of my faves!

You sure live in God's country. It's almost a shame that they are putting in that expressway. There will just be more people coming to that area. Enjoy it while it is relatively quiet.

Thanks for meeting up with me. The pleasure was all mine!
