Chunky Dunk

It's been hot and humid and we still need rain. We did get about 1/4 inch yesterday. That helped but we need more. Right now it's thundering but no rain. We do have a better chance tonight and tomorrow, so my fingers are crossed!!

My neighbor mowed our lawn yesterday and it looks real nice. A little brown in a few places, but not too bad. They have sold their home and have been in the process of moving. I will certainly miss them. She is the one who has taught me how to make baskets and he's the one who always mows our lawn. He says he will continue to mow our lawn. The home they bought is only 2 1/2 miles away, so they'll still be nearby, just not across the street.

My nephew got a new swimming pool. It's an above ground one and it's a big one. I can imagine they better sit down before opening the water bill after filling that thing up! And here we are with such a water shortage! She told me to come over and get in the pool. I told her that if I got in all the water would come out!!

You sure could have some of our Texas rain. We haven't been getting the floods they are having further west and north, but it has rained every day now for three weeks.
Too bad you are losing a nice neighbor. Maybe the new one will be friendly too. Plus your other is almost walking distance.
Is your nephew's pool one of those large blue ones that come from WalMart? I showed some in Iowa pictures last July 28. Paste this or do archives.

Hi Rachel,
I bet you'll miss having such good neighbors right across the street.
We've lost a few in our neighborhood and the new ones aren't nearly as nice.
BTW, I tagged you for a meme!

Hello dear Rachel:-)

Love that sign! LOL When I wear a swimsuit now, I also wear a long tshirt with it!! hehe What a shame your neighbours are moving but at least not too far away:-) We were supposed to have a thunder storm for the last 2 days but so far nothing. It keeps going around us I guess! One of our neighbours just put up a pool...I call them Pygmy Pots cuz that's what they look like! lol You know the big pots they boil people in??? hehe xoxo

We've had rain, but certainly not the amount that Texas and Oklahoma have been getting. Those poor people are water logged!
I chunky dunk too!! I haven't swam since last August when we rented a pontoon.

Just got caught up on your blog. Good story about the convict. You will most likely get some very nice new neighbors. It's pretty neat that he will still come over and mow your grass. Those type of people are true friends, not just neighbors.
