RAIN AND AWARDS

This is truly a very rainy day. Watching the weather channel I see that it has been really rainy for some folks with some place in Missouri getting over 12 inches of rain!! With that much rain it makes one think that having an Ark handy would be a good idea! We are not forecast to get that much since this system is supposed to pick up a bit of speed.

I was thinking that I had nothing to blog about today.

I have a tooth that is getting a little "ouchy," and thinking about going to the dentist makes me a little ouchy! Not my favorite place to go and I haven't been in far to long due to the high cost of going, since I have no dental insurance. If it gets too "ouchy" you can bet I'll go. I can't think of anything worse than a toothache.

I recieved a couple of awards from
Jim and I really appreciate them!! Thank you Jim, that was really sweet. I will now attempt to get them onto my sidebar. Wish me luck!

UPDATE: As you can see I DID IT!!!

Congrats on the awards and getting them in your sidebar, Rachel! :o)

We had the flooding rains yesterday and this morning. Not good here at all, but we're on fairly high ground here and so far we're doing okay.

Hope the rest of your week is good, and the "ouchy" tooth gets better.

Love and hugs,

Diane

You deserve those awards and more!

I'm long overdue for a dentist appointment too, also, in addition, as well.
I'm not having any problems, but I need to get my teeth cleaned.... that is if I can find a dentist in AR.

:-) Just kidding. They really DO have them here.

We got about 4 inches of rain overnight. It rained and rained and rained. Some other areas in AR got 12 inches or more. There's quite a bit of flooding in some areas, and our rivers are above flood stage.

My mom is coming for a visit! She'll be here on Friday morning and fly out on Monday. She's heading to Canada on a business trip and decided to make an Arkansas detour.
Hooray!

I hope the rain passes by your place quickly, and that your Easter Sunday is sunny and warm.

Rachel ~ This sort of cracked me up... I often watch the weather channel (when I have a flight to catch)... but then I look outside just to make sure they GOT IT RIGHT! ~ jb///

Good luck with that ouchy tooth. My husband went in last week with a tooth ache and they said his tooth was fine, but they gave him some special toothpaste to help build back his enamal....Good luck. I hope you don't get too much more rain.

Diane - stay above water.

Please don't float away when it comes to you. As I remember your water is way down an embankment.

You did good in putting those awards on, there should be an award for being able to do that also! (hint, hint.)
I haven't figured out how or where to put mine. I still use the old Blogger on all but 'Ask Dr. Jim (blog).'

Dear Rachel,

Sorry you're having the tooth ache! But don't let it go too long! Nothing worse than a tooth ache -at it's worst! I don't have dental ins. either and have had to spend a LOT of $$$ on my teeth the past few years- and am over due for a check up now...as I am with all my other check ups!

Congrats on the awards! ....Every time I try to put anything on my side bar I mess up everything so I have given up on that!!! :( Maybe someday my granddaughter can show me how to do that -again!!

Take care,

Junie

I bet you have forgotten about last summer's drought already!

Unfortunately torrential rain runs off to fast and dies not fill up the ground water and reservoirs as much as one might think.

Keep your canoe paddles by the door.

Nice awards! I have never learned to put anything in my sidebar, so I really admire anyone who can.

We are having a cloudy day here in the Pacific Nortwest. It was really nice yesterday so I can't complain. It's still March after all. However today being the first day of spring, I expect the temps to rise and Mr.sun to return soon.

Have a happy Resurrection day.

Good Afternoon Rachel,
I am back online and trying to catch up with everyone. I have been online since Monday, but have been too tired to do a post or even visit. I did do a post very early this morning. "CONGRATULATION'S" on your most deserving Awards and for putting them on your sidebar. We got alot of rain on Tuesday night here but no major flooding where I live at. I did see on The Weather Channel where Louisville had quite a bit of rain from the system. They also said a little while ago on our local t.v. station that a levee has broken from the Black River in Poplar Bluff, MO. There are about 100 Families stranded and they are working to rescue them. They will have more about it on our local news at 5:00p.m. I enjoyed your Church signs as always. I read where you and your friend had a great time while she was here. I'm so glad yall had a good time and she got to try some good Southern Cooked Food. Nothing more comforting than Southern Cooked Foods. To me that is anyways. I've never eaten at a Bob Evan's before. They don't have them around here. Sounds like the day at the Spa was really nice. I used to go have my nails done once a month about a year ago, but I haven't been able to afford to have it done in a long time. Maybe before Summer gets here I can, if I can talk my DH into letting me. LOL. I would so love to go to a Spa and have a body massage. They probably wouldn't even be able to get me up after they are done with me. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen h.

mnaToothaches are the worst especially w/ no dental insurance. (I have some teeth I must get taken care of.) Hope you're feeling better very soon!

Congrats on the awards!Ienjoy your blog so much.

As you may remember, I name my jewelry after songs. I designed a line of jewelry I developed this past winter where I donate part of the profits to breast cancer. It's called
You Light Up My Life.
