Heavenly Weather

I think I'll not be stopping in at this business!!

It's been lovely weather here for the past few days. I set out some sweet onions and some flowers. Now I need to make a trip to Lowe's to get a couple more potted plants to complete one area I've been working on.

My nephew almost cut his finger off Sunday evening. He did it with some sort of miter saw. It cut his finger spirally and not straight across. It almost cut the bone in two and it jerked part of the bone out. He will be having surgery Friday in Lexington to get it, hopefully, all fixed back. I hope all goes well with the surgery and the healing. I think they are taking tendon from his arm and bone from his hip, or they might use cadaver bone. I know he'll be glad to get it done so the healing process can start.
Get your tongue loosened up for this tongue twister! Say it three times fast!

That sign made me laugh. It's like the one the engraver down the hall brought in a few days, it read 'Unattended children will be given an expresso and a free puppy'.
Hope you nephew heals fast.

Funny sign. I work with power saws quite often and they scare me to death just for that reason. I always double check where my hands are, check for nails in the wood, warping etc all the bizarre things that can go wrong. Even being so careful I've had some close calls myself. No one is immune to accidents. I hope your nephew gets all the use of his finger back.

I hope your nephew's surgery gpes well. My 23 year old daughter cut two toes off last summer in a lawn mower accident. I keep telling her that scars like that are just tattoos with better stories. She wore open-toe shoes to Church last Sunday for the first time since then. No one even noticed. Blessings to your nephew.

That accident sounds GHASTLY! Poor guy! I sure hope they can get it all back together too...! It is amazing what they can do these days, isn't it? There was a time when there was nothing they could do!
Iy sounds like you are doing beautiful things in your garden, Rachel....I hope you will take some pictures of all of these pretty things.

That tongue twister is a B*tch! (lol)

As much as I love a good sale, I don't think that would end up being much of a bargain! LOL

I'm a true bargain hunter, but I'll pass on that one too!
I shuddered when I read of your nephews injury to his finger. It's amazing what they can do with reconstruction surgery these days, isn't it?
I'll say a prayer for his swift and complete recovery.

OUCH!! Your poor nephew! That sounds like it must really hurt. I hope all goes well with the surgery and that it heals up completely.

I want to start sprucing up our front and back porches with some plants and flowers. I enjoy doing that, and now is the time to do it.
Keep enjoying the nice weather. We've had nice weather too along with some rain off and on. I love the warm days!!

I most definitely won't be shopping at that babies and children store. I'm afraid I'd end up with a bunch of redheaded Darrells.

Great sign! What a bargain!

As for your nephew, I hope all goes well w/ the surgery and that he heals quickly.

That's a good tongue twister for the Spanish folks. I'll have to teach that one to my dad!

Boy, you sure do know how to describe something that painful, my finger hurts as I type...My dad did cut his finger off at work. He was cutting with a table saw and he hit a knot in the wood and it jerked his finger right into the blade. I remember how cold his finger would get and he would sometimes put gloves on to keep it warm.

Now that TF and I are basically "empty nesters", I don't think I will be buying two and gettin three free...No, I couldn't handle that at my age.....

I hope all goes well for your nephew. His injury sounds more painful and serious than my trying to cut my big toe off with a chain saw, which wasn't as painful as you might think.

The sign was funny but the news about your nephew really sobered me up. He'll have a long recovery but I'll bet in a few years he'll be back to normal.

I'm glad that I read the good news about your nephews surgery before I read this post!
My dad is a woodworker. The folks at the hand hospital in Indianapolis know him by name. Uggh.

I'll skip on the free babies also.
