What's Happening in My Life.......

I thought I'd get a quick post in today. I know you all just miss me soooo much!! Haha! Anyway, it's been busy here.

My dear husband got a real bad UTI a couple of weeks ago and we ended up in the ER, where you wait and wait and wait. I will spare you the details, but he ended up being sent to the VA Hospital in Lexington, via ambulance, at 1:30 in the morning. I came home and crashed and went up there the next day.

The day after that they called and said they were sending him home, and that he had responded well to the IV antibiotics. They sent him home too soon and his fever went back up and his urine output was only teaspoons at a time. Home Health ended up coming out and giving him IV fluids here at home. He got those continuously for 5 days. Thankfully he has gotten better. Now I have to try and push him to drink, drink, drink! It's not easy, as he doesn't like to drink too much these days.
Hope all is well with my friends in blogland! I'm trying to get around to checking on everyone as much as I can.

Scottie looks like he needs a bigger bed, doesn't he? The NIP bag you see there has catnip in it, so he looks like he's all passed out from too much NIP!

Church Signs

I like both of these signs!

Hi Rachel, no wonder you've been quiet in the blog world. Poor Hubby. You must have been beside yourself. I sure would.

You sleepy cat picture is great. I've never heard of a cat nip bag.

Like your signs too. Hang in there and you. stay healthy.

Great signs. The cat looks like he is in la-la land for sure. ha-ha. Hope your hubby is much better by now. It has been so cold here today. Turned the heat on for the first time. My sister is in Florida and I went to water her outside flowers. The wind was blowing the mist back on me and I thought I would freeze. Have a good week, Rachel, and thanks for supporting my cooking website on facebook by making it one of your "likes".

We DO miss you:-) Oh dear, your husband really had a rough time with that UTI but good to hear that he's feeling better now. That's the problem with hospitals these days, they don't have the room so they send patients home way too soon.

I had to giggle when I saw the picture of Scottie with the catnip, he does look like he's passed out from eating too much of it! hehe Too cute!

Wishing you a wonderful week my friend. xoxo

I am sorry to learn that your husband had a medical crisis. What a worry for both of you.

Over the years I have read you blog you give few details of your husbands condition. I admire your courage and quiet dignity in coping with an invalid husband. You manage to have a life beyond caring for him, a faith that sustains you and a joy of living in many little ways.

I hope your husband is much better now.
