A Little Girl

Here I am when I was a little girl! I'm not sure how old I was. As you can see this picture was taken on the side of a rocky hill. The sun was in my eyes and I was squinting. I've been squinting ever since I think. That's one reason for all the lines around my eyes. Squinting and laughing!!

My Mom said that when I was born I had a head full of dark hair. Then it all fell out and it came back in blonde.

Looking at this picture it's hard to believe that that was once me!

I too was born with a head full of dark hair, as were all of my three kids. My older son has a light brown now, but it was very blond as a little guy. My middle one has lighter hair, but his was almost the color of flax, yellow really, until he was about 3. The little one, she is 4 and still has a head full of long blond hair. This was a cute picture of you, I love my pictures of when I was a toddler or younger.

What a darling picture Rachel...! You were so adorable! If I were to guess I'd say you were about 4 years old...could that be?
I had blondish light hair as a baby and little child which was pretty straight...Then, I was deathly ill at nine and all my hair fell out from this extremely high fever and when it grew back it was now Brown and with a curl!
I have no idea why!

You sure were cute Rachel.

Merry Christmas. You made me laugh when you said looking at that picture it's hard to believe it was once you. In our stairwell my wife hung some of our 'old' pictures. One night I feel asleep on the sofa. When I woke up I started up the stairs - there was a picture of this guy with long hair. It took me a moment to realize it was me. It happens.
