Question
I was wondering if anyone knows how to change the order of your favorites list?? I would like to move things around on there as I like them, but don't know how to do it.
Anyone know how???

Your previous post on Q & A cracked me up.
I've moved the favorites around a little. All I did was go into the template, highlighted and cut the one I wanted to move and then paste it into its new spot.
A word of caution here - we will all be watching to see where end up on your list. Okay, just kidding.

Rachel, I can't find anywhere that will let you put them in the order YOU want them. In the dropdown window, there are three options....Sort Alphabetically...Don't Sort....and Sort Reverse Alphabetically. You know how to get to that page. that's the only thing I could find.
I guess you could just start all over and click on don't sort, and they would be in the order you want. That's all I can come up with. Sorry! Clara

Rachel, just left click and hold onto the blue "e" for the one you want to move, then drag it to where you want it in the list. I always keep some near the top that way.
You can alphabetize them by making any entry in the list blue, left clicking to get a menu, then do a "sort by name" by clicking on that menu entry.
When I alphabetize, the ones I want on top I but a numerical number on front to bring it to the top. "00a" will come before "00b," etc.
Example: "00AA Rachels Blog," "00AB JIM'S LITTLE BLOG."
You can change the name or add the numerics by going to favorites, "Organize favorites." You can also move or delete and other options there.
And I'm not the smartest in the world, but pretty doggone close to it. I just act dumb.

Oh Thank you Jim!! That is so easy!! Now I'll be able to move all my blog friends together, whereas they have been scattered here there and everywhere on my favorites list.
I go to my template and I just copy and paste them where I want them to be.
I am not very good at computer skills, but that's how I arrange my blogroll. I don't mess with it very often.
I see that Ralph said the same thing.

Click and drag...remember those words. ;)

Click and drag is the fastest and easiest means of moving links around in your favorites list. Up or Down...it matters not. Put the cursor on the link to be moved, click and hold, then move to where you want it positioned and release the mouse button. Easy, Peasy
