Election Cake! Sunday Sign

Here is a lovely cake that my nephew's wife made! Isn't it pretty? She did this for a cake decorating class she is taking and she had to have a theme. Well, she did this one to kind of represent the presidential election. See the elephant and donkey on the side...the red, white, and blue ribbons.. the white daisies, red roses, and blue canna lillies. She also mixed up her 2008 letters since it's been such a crazy political roller coaster kind of thing this year.

See the black rosebud? That's one for Obama! Out of her class she was the one chosen to go on to the next class. Only one is chosen so that is an honor! She is very talented when it comes to making cakes and cooking in general. That woman can COOK!!!

SUNDAY SIGN

This also goes along with elections. I have seen those commercials and they end up with "I'm so and so and I approve this message!" Won't we all be glad when it's over??? Whew!!

Hope everyone has a very blessed Sunday!!!

Clever Sun. sign. I cannot wait until the tv stops broadcasting the election stuff. I make up my mind without anyone's "approval."
Happy Belated Halloween!

That sign is great - it is the only ad I have seen this election is that is true.

Hi Rachel! That cake is beautiful. Congrats to her for being selected to move on to the next class. They made an excellent choice.

I am happy that there are several days left until the election. But I fear that the BS will continue long after.

That is one great Sunday sign.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Lisa

And I approve that sign, too!

Maybe I will get some work done, ya think?

She did a terrific job on that cake! I can see why she was chosen to move on. Congrats on her success!!

You're a fine cake maker/decorator too, also!!!!!
If I lived closer, I'd be your cake tester. I'd need LOTS of samples in order to be very helpful.

Election day is upon us.
I've done my part by casting my vote.
I voted for the McPalin ticket, but I'm not one to get up into people's faces and tell them how to vote.
Each person has to decide for themselves, and I hope each person does indeed take time to vote.
Everyone's vote matters.
I think it is wonderful that regardless of wins this presidential election, history will be made.
We will either haver our first black president or our first woman vice president. That is neat!!

I approved this comment.

:-)

Please pet Jamie Dawn for me and give her some treats. I think she likes salami flavored truffles.

Oh my goodness, that cake is absolutely beautiful. No wonder she was chosen to go on to the next class and I love the way she did the black rosebud and the 2008. I will be so glad when tomorrow is over, too. I don't know about your county but McConnell and Lunsford commercials are about as bad as the presidential ones here. Great sign.

That cake is beautiful, despite the black rose for Obama! :-)

Funny sign! I think that no matter who we're hoping will win tomorrow, we're all exhausted and will be happy to take a deep breath when it's over. I know I will!

Hugs,
Sammy
