My Week

Finally a post!! I'm so far behind I think I'm out in front. I've been busy getting ready for Christmas, putting up decorations, shopping, and getting my Christmas cards out, and trying to remember if I have forgotten anything. It does seem like this holiday season has come up quite fast. People are always saying how some things are slower than Christmas, but it seems to me that Christmas comes around pretty fast anymore! When I was a kid it seemed FOREVER before Christmas got here.

With the holidays always comes more times of going to Christmas parties and getting together with friends. This past week myself and three friends went to TN to a B&B and ate lunch. Below is a picture of us. We were at Grey Gables in Rugby, TN. It's a lovely place that I stayed at once before. It was decorated lovely for the holidays and we had a delicous meal and a fun trip. It rained all the way there and back but the company I was with are quite the comedians and I was laughing so hard at them that my jaws were hurting!

Here are just a couple of the decorations that I thought were adorable!
This one was so cute!!! Love this cat!! Awesome colors!!

Don't you just love these carolers, too?! I thought they were so sweet!!

We have been getting lots of rain but today it has turned MUCH colder and very windy. Tonight is going down to 9. I guess I'll get out another quilt!
Is everyone ready for Christmas?

I am sitting here freezing in my own house listening to that wind blow outside and nine degrees. Love the pictures. Sounds like you all had a great time. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Yep, Christmas is a busy time and it will be here and over before you know it.
You and your friends look pretty standing there in front of that lovely decorated hearth.
We've had some rain too, but we've not been a cold as you've been. We've been down around freezing for the past couple of days, but still no snow. Hooray!
We fly to CA tomorrow, so I'll be snow free for awhile.
I'll stay in CA until mid January. Starting in January, I'll have one kid in school on the east coast and one on the west coast. I look forward to staying at my brother's place for a couple of weeks after New Year's. I'll be seeing Naomi too, as well.
I wish you a wonderfully Merry Christmas with lots of good food and love and laughter.
I also wish you a happy and healthy New Year.
I hope Phil is doing well during the holidays so you will be able to fully enjoy them.
God bless you!
I am so glad we are blog buddies!!

The beauty of nature is a beautiful Christmas......9 degrees? Yeks! that's cold! We had a few snow flurries about 10 days ago, but it wasn't cold enough for it to stick so it was gone by morning.....

Your afternoon, with your friends at the inn, sounds like a lot of fun...It is good to get away from it all every once in a while, especially with good friends. I remember when you did a post about your stay at that inn....I would love to see the place, it's beautiful.

Have a Merry Christmas, Rachel...

Merry Christmas Rachel! Nice post and I loved the first line.
I see you've been carousing a bit with the ladies. I'm happy for that.
About my wife and your spa idea. I don't think she likes massages. Everytime I offer to give her one she says "You stay away from me!" See what I mean?

It is 29 here today - our high for the day! Can't believe I was working out in the yard one week ago wearing a T-shirt!
Oh, did I mention the winds are over 30 mph!!!! Poor kitty babies are hunkered in!

Rachel, so glad that you are caught up. Looks like you had a nice time at the B&B with your friends. We had terrible rain here on SUnday, and then it was about 2 with the wind chill yesterday. SUpposed to warm up for Christmas though! Have a Merry Christmas, and slow down, you don't have to get it all done, enjoy the season. I need to take my own advice, but I will enjoy it a little more each day! Thanks for stopping by and for your comments, talk to you in the New Year!
