Parts of My Week and Sunday Sign

Today is quite cold, cloudy, and we have the occasional snow flurry. I have to run to the grocery sometime today to get ingredients for what I'm making for our church dinner tomorrow. That will be the only thing I get out for today. In this kind of weather I like to stay inside if possible.

Thursday night I went to a dinner here in town. It was actually a recognition/awards night for the volunteers at our hospital. I'm not an official volunteer but I have helped out some, so I was invited. It was all so lovely. The tables were all so elegant and pretty! Beautiful tablecloths and centerpieces with lovely cloth napkins. It was high class all the way! I didn't get a picture of the tables, but here's a picture of part of the dessert area complete with a chocolate fountain.

Some of you have asked about Scarlet and Jamie Dawn. Here they are doing just fine! They are so sweet and adorable! Munchie brought in a mouse the other night and left it on the steps of the porch. It was just a small mouse, dead of course, but still warm. I gave it to Jamie Dawn (she's the black kitten)and she grabbed it and had herself a time tossing it up in the air and catching it. If Scarlet got near her she growled and snatched that mouse in her mouth. She refused to share! I don't know what happened to it...if she ate it or what. She probably did!

Do have a blessed Sunday and keep warm! Only 18 days till Christmas. Are you ready?? This sign shows a gift we all can give and it won't cost a thing!! Now that's nice!!

SUNDAY SIGN

Excellent sign! That's a gift we all need. Your cats are just adorable and I'll bet they ate it. What a gorgeous spread of deserts! You know a lot of work went into that dinner. That's such a nice way of saying thank you to the volunteers.

Sounds like you had a great time at the dinner. You probably deserve it more than you know.

Oh, those kittens are so cute. I would like to scoop them up and bring them home to my house.

And right now it is snowing outside and the temp. is 35 degrees. Yuck!

I choose to stay indoors to, as well whenever the weather is bad.
Hugs are terrific gifts!
So are smiles.
:-)

I'm tempted to buy one of those chocolate fountains, but if I did, I'd be dipping stuff in it from morning to night. I'd have chocolate instead of blood in my veins.

Jamie Dawn is selfish with her food. She sounds a lot like me. Hand off! That's my truffle!!!
Those kitties are so cute.

Now I'm hungry after seeing all those desserts! Looks yummy! ;o)

It's good that your kitties are learning to be mousers. Mousers are especially good to have around, although mine don't get a chance to chase mice and I love them anyway.

Good sign you found this week!

Have a great Sunday, dear Rachel. :o)

Love and HUGS,

Diane

The chocolate fountain and strawberries are divine!

Sound like you named your cats appropriately. (Is that a word?)

That quote is a keeper! I love the Sunday sign!

Btw, has Jamie Dawn always been this feisty? I think you should buy her one of those cross necklaces (you can wrap it around her neck four or five times) until she's nicer to Scarlet!

The chocolate fountain looks wonderful! Sounds like you had a fancy/fun dinner.

I wish I had the "occasional snow flurry..." but it's still sunny and warmer than ever here in Miami. Oh well.

Enjoy the holidays...inside or out!

I enjoyed your post Rachel. That dinner sounds divine. I'm happy you could have this fine night out!

Your kitties sure are cute! My General has been known to catch squirrels in our back yard- and birds!
Normal for cats- but I don't like to see it!

Keep warm Rachel!

Hugs))

The table looked similar to the ones Ralph and set at blogstock. Only not so much.
Jamie Dawm gets all the mice. No fair.

I would have been standing beside that chocolate fountain dipping strawberries all evening! hehe So glad you were invited to that dinner, sounds like a lovely time.

The kitties are just adorable and obviously well loved:-) I wish I could keep the strays I've been feeding...worried about them being in these frigid temps we're having (-11F last night!!) but they seem to be doing ok. Must have a warm place to hide:-)

The sign is perfect!! xoxo

Great sign! I don't blame you for not wanting to get out in cold, nasty weather. I don't either if I don't have to!

Hi Rachel, I sure am glad they invited you to the dinner. I know you deserve to be thee.
When did you name that cat Jamie Dawn? Last I heard Scarlet was a boy cat but J.D. sneaked up on me.
Thanks for the church sign, that is a good message.
