Snow, Ice, and Everything Nice!

Sandy sent me this photo and said, "Hey isn't Cliff your friend that lives on a farm and his wife grooms dogs?" This picture made her think of that! Haha! Well, it could be Cliff taking a customer for a ride!! Very cute don't you think? I don't know if Cliff ever wears overalls or not. But looking from the back it could be him on the tractor! How about it Cliff? Is that you? :) Even has a little umbrella over the dog. Cute! You can click on the photo to enlarge it.

I was watching the weather and saw that New Orleans had snow! Now that must be exciting to get snow in places where you hardly ever get any. Like an early Christmas gift! Right now we have the ground covered with the white stuff, with a layer of ice underneath. I'm glad I don't have to be out on the roads tonight or in the morning.

I love the clothes that have no tags on the inside of the neck. They just have the writing on the clothes themselves. T-shirts are like that a lot. Not so much on other clothes. Oh, my underwear is like that too. Hanes. Sometimes the tags on the neck can tickle or poke you and are annoying, so not having them there is nice. What do you think?

I normally hate commercials and hit the mute button until the commercial is over. I do like the singer who does the commercial for Free Credit Report Dot Com. His name is Eric Violette and on his resume page it says he is an actor. I like his singing and don't mind those commercials at all. There's two or three different ones and I like them all just because of his singing!

Today was rainy and nasty. About 7 p.m. or so the rain changed to sleet and then to snow. I made a big pot of beef vegetable soup and made oatmeal cookies. All good too! Love that comfort food on these rainy chilly days.

I like the tag-free undies also. That could almost be MY Cliff on the tractor: We have a Farmall, and Cliff wears overalls. He wouldn't be hanging around with a dog, though. At least not in public.

I only buy tagless undies now. I always cut the tags out of the shirts and/or blouses because they always make my neck itch. I've ruined a few doing it, though. I like the commercials, too. Very few commercials I'll sit through but I do sing along with that one, ha.

Hi Rachel! I prefer tagless. I have a couple of shirts that are tagless and oh what a relief.
We had rain last night like we haven't had in a long time. When I tell you it poured, double that. My co-worker was leaving a Christmas party last night and he had to walk in six inches of water. All things considered, I'll take the rain, even though I am tired of it. I want to come over for some soup and cookies. Take care of yourself. Lisa
BTW, It kinda does look like Cliff, but don't tell him I said so. :o)

I don't like tags anywhere on my clothes so cut them off. I have very sensitive skin and they irritate me.

I don't know if that is Cliff on the tractor. I saw this picture on another blog and was concerned the little dog might have jumped out and got hurt. Heaven forbid!!!

Most commercials I don't mind too much and have even found some quite amusing. However, there is a man who advertises a lot of holliday gimmic products and his voice drives me up the wall. I silence him immediately!

We are having an awful wind and rain storm today. It's supposed to turn to snow and it sure feels cold enough to do that.
I have to go to the post office soon and am not looking forward to the chill!

That dog is getting way to much attention and care for the guy on the tractor to be Cliff.
It's cold here today - again, still - your beef vegetable soup sounds great.

I hate neck tags. If they are too bothersome, I end up cutting them out.

I like those commercials too. I usually pick up a book or magazine during comercials; they are getting long enough these days to be able to do that and read a good amount before the shows come back on.

Hi Rachel -- That could be Cliff but I think he is out of pocket right now.
Houston had two to four inches of snow as well. We didn't get enough up here to stay on the ground.
You could take a look at me bundled up to be out in the cold rain and snow directing traffic for our Christmas Home Tour on my blog today.

If you buy jeans from old Navy their is a tag in one of the pants legs that instructs you to cut off before washing. Not even seeing the tag or realizing it exist, when I entered stores the alarm would go off.It happened to my husband for a month or so.Finally someone at old Navy told me to look down in the leg and cut it off.Security tags, don't ya love 'em

What a cute picture that is! The pup is so small, you almost miss it! lol

It's funny you should talk about the tags...just yesterday I was wearing a top that was driving me crazy where the tag was, it was irritating the back of my neck so I had to cut the tag off!

I hadn't heard that they had snow in New Orleans...wow! We have so much here, it's ridiculous!! xoxo

I've been avoiding Christmas goodies since we decorated cookies a few nights ago and I ate about five of them over a two day period. I am a cookie lover, as well as a chocolate truffle lover. And I also like pie and cake and ice cream and candy. I am a big fan of health foods.
We've not had any snow. It was quite something for Houston and New Orleans to get snow. I'm sure all the kids loved it.
A long time ago, Keith said something like, "They really should make clothes without tags at the neck."
He had a good idea back then, and I'm glad some clothing companies have figured it out.
I cut tags out of lots of my tops. Those tags can be very annoying sometimes.

Nope not me Rachel. That's the wrong color for one of my tractors. But thanks for the mention.
We've got some bitter weather coming our way. It's supposed to get down to 2 degrees monday morn.

Gee, I bet I am the only one who actually likes the tags - well, most of them, anyway. Sometimes I get an itchy one - but not often. Now, why would anyone like tags, you might ask? I get dressed in the dark most of the time - especially this time of year - and I do not turn any lights on so I don't bother anybody. So I put my clothes out the night before, but get in them in the dark. The tags tell me front from back on things like undies and t-shirts.
Tags are wonderful for blind people, too. I am not there yet! And, the stamped on labels wash off before too long.
We got lucky - in a way... we had all rain - but nearly 5 1/2 inches of it. Lots of folk had just put their winter wheat in the ground. The fields are still under water.

My daughter and I are also fans of the freecreditreport.com guy, too. He's kinda cute.
And I agree that tagless underwear is the greatest invention since sliced bread.

That is the cutest picture of "Possibly" Cliff....And that darling little dog with The Umbrella....!

I so agree with you about those tags at the back of the neck....Very Scratchy sometimes. I just cannot get the scissors out fast enough so that I can carefully get rid of any stuff like that....I have never understood why there are sometimes 3 tags, too.....Each one says something else, I guess...But, enough is enough! LOL!

Your Soup sounds so comforting and "hearty" Rachel....Yum Yum.....I love that you bake all the time, too....! Do you ever make Chocolate Chop Cookies?

Stay warm and safe inside, my dear friend....Do Not Go Out On The Ice, PLEASE....! I must say, I do not miss Winter as I used to know it WAAAAY Back In The Day.....I LOVE our Weather here---Well, when it is not as irratic as it has been lately....Though it has been very cold, for here....Especially in the mornings..Brrrrrrr.
