Dark Skies and Corvettes

We have had a lot of skies lately that look like these. It's been like a daily dose and sometimes more than once daily dose.

Our pastor is such a cut-up! He and his wife invited our Sunday school class over last month and they prepared a nice meal for us. We played a couple of games and one of them we had to write down 5 things about ourselves that no one probably didn't know. Then we put them in a jar and he randomly pulled each one out and read it and we had to guess who we thought it was. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about each other. One thing I put on my list was that my dream car is a Corvette. So a couple of Sundays later he said he wanted to make my dream come true so he brought me in this Hot Wheel Corvette. I laughed and said that at least he was thinking of me, but I'd never fit in that car! But at last I have my Corvette!

He does sound like a fun pastor. I was a jeep person myself but have turned into a van person. I'm glad you finally got your Corvette. :-)

Hi Rachel,

Good shot of the cloudy skies. After two months of continous rain, we are now in a hot and dry period, although there is a silver lining for the weekend, with rain and thunderstorms in the forecast, followed by a wee bit cooler weather.

What a fun pastor to have. Your corvette is a beauty!

Have a great weekend.

Nice Corvette. It says a lot about your Pastor when he does something like that.
We are heading into day fourteen of rain and severe weather here. It is pretty unusual for this time of year.

I like your pictures of the cloudy sky. It would be nice to see some of those clouds around here, especially if they contained rain.
I hope you enjoy your Corvette.
Thanks for visiting my site.

That game sounds like lots of fun. I have to remember it. I think it would be fun to play with my great grandkids too!

Your sky looks threatening and makes me want a cup of hot chocolate!

Do you remember the seed tape you sent me along with all the other goodies in the pay-it-forward thing? Check out my latest entry to see how well they are doing.

Your pastor sounds so sweet and what a thoughtful and jokingly sort of fella he is. He sounds like a pastor that I would like.

Everybody should have a Corvette, one at least. I am glad you have yours.
I have a Barbie Doll 1976 yellow Corvette, it was Karen's.
If I'd a waited a few minutes later I could have read your church sign. I'll be back for it.

What a fun game- I'll try it for a group soon.
Maybe if you plant the Matchbox car it will blossom in to a real one.

Wow, your own Corvette!!!! That is SOME pastor!!

I'm mailing a little something your way this coming week. Just let me know when you receive it.

Just think what fun we had last July 4th at Cliff's place.
Those memories sure are goodies!!!

Nice wheels!

Our skies out here have been looking much the same lately. Today was warm & sunny - it was a welcome change.

And I just read the post about things you learn from your husband. My husband has an astounding memory for names and details, also. I'm a mental midget compared to him!
