With our gas prices going up I thought these were appropriate!

This one Ralph might want to talk to SILOR and DOR about since they plan to be married in the not so distance future!!

Ain't It The Truth. I think here in L.A. Gas prices are higher than anywhere! Thank You Oh Lord, that I really cannot go practically anywhere anymore because of Health Issues...Ccause, I don't know how people manage who have to commute, you know? Frightening, isn't it, Rachel?

I got these in an email, too. It's right at $3 a gallon here right now.

Outrageous!

Have a good weekend, Rachel. :-)

Love and hugs,

Diane

The gas prices have truly gotten out of hand...they say it's not price gouging but I beg to differ. I use to go on trips all the time but now I have to think twice about going anywhere! Right now the gas price here is $1.10 a liter...there's about 4 liters to a gallon...so that makes it about $4.40 a gallon. UGH! xoxo

Rachel
There is so much truth in those. A couple years ago I gave a gift card to a gas station as a gift to a kid that had just started to drive. He really liked even thought a couple other people threw me a weird glance. I bet there a lot of those being given out now.
When I go to the gas station anymore I just close my eyes and pray.

I like those! And not much more than a gallon of milk.
But can you drive 20 to 30 miles on a gallon of milk.
You wouldn't guess two of my kids are in petroleum field of work.
Or that we live in Houston. Or that I don't own any oil company stock.

Pea: Desiel in Ireland was about 1.05 Eu/liter self service. That is about $3.98 a gallon. Last spring in Italy and France it was 0.97, or just under $3.66/gal.

And Rachel, I doubt if my right leg is worth a gallon right now. In fact, it isn't worth a flip until I recuperate from the effects of my broken knee cap.
Thanks for your concern.

Gas prices are just something that I have to put out of my mind or else it would spoil one of my favorite pastimes...riding.

I saw some gas prices at $3.59 a gallon a couple of weeks ago on one of our rides...and that was for regular...they didn't post the premium prices. So I'm thinking that $4 is just right around the corner...aargh.

There's SO MUCH truth in those cartoons.
They are funny and not so funny at the same time.
We are ALL feeling the pain at the pump.

We have some of the highest prices in the nation for gas and the major refineries are only a couple miles from here!
Californians love their cars though and there's certainly not a lesser number on the roads. If anything the roads are more jammed all the time!

Yep, definitely the truth. Supposedly if we get any more hurricanes this season gas could double...better invest in a good pair of walking shoes!
