The Weather You Know Will Always Change

Sunday was beautiful and warm. We had storms in the evening complete with tornado warnings. Thankfully nothing came of it though. Now today it has been much colder and that wind! Sure makes the wind chill drop down there, and had me getting my jacket back out of the closet. Wednesday is supposed to be nice again, so this little cold snap won't last long.

Jamie Dawn (the cat) thinks this tulip smells sweet! Of course I can understand cat language!! Then again, she might have been rubbing her scent on them too...who knows!! :)

I love the phlox on this bank! It's such a pretty site to drive by when it's blooming. Unfortunately the blooms don't last very long. This house is located in the city and I often drive on that street. Each year I look forward to seeing these in bloom.

A husband and wife were at a party chatting with some friends when the subject of marriage counseling came up. "Oh! We’ll never need that. My husband and I have a great relationship," the wife explained. "He was a communications major in college, and I majored in theater arts.
He communicates really well, and I just act like I'm listening."

*************************************************
The barn at Larry and Susan's farm burned down, and Susan called the insurance company.
Susan: "We had that barn insured for fifty thousand and I want my money."
Agent: "Wait just a minute, Susan... it doesn't work quite like that. We will determine the value of the old barn and provide you with a new one of comparable worth."
Susan, after a pause: "I'd like to cancel the policy on my husband."

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

There's a lot of tall phlox (as opposed to creeping phlox) around here. It blooms almost all summer, and smells divine. I love it!

We must have gotten your storms! We had rain so hard yesterday that we couldn't see the house across the street! (I am exaggerating, but you get the idea) Thunder with really loud booms and some lightining! It was wet cold and damp out there. Today the sun is out, but a little chilly here too. Hope this is the last of it all! Have a Happy Easter Rachel.

Ha! I loved the jokes, especially the first one!

Nice to see Jamie Dawn enjoying the flowers. (Scarlet was probably out sketching naked cats at the time.) ;)

Btw, the flowers are amazing...BEAUTIFUL...in front of the house on the hill. Great photo!

That's a gorgeous house with those phlox. We had some good weather and now it is snowing, we have about 4 inches so far. Very cute jokes. I do think cats like the smell of flowers.

The flowers are gorgeous. It reminds me of when the dogwood trees bloomed when I lived in Atlanta. I'd drive through "downtown" Marietta and the streets were beautiful with all the color.

JD is a cute kitty.

We had almost the same weather as you. Sunday was beautiful, Monday was chilly-willy, today, Tuesday, was sunny and 55 and it warms up by tomorrow.

Love the kitty smelling the tulips, and the jokes were cute. Especially the insurance one. lol.

Have a great rest of the week, Rachel.

Hugs,

Renie

Hello dear Rachel:-)

Spring hasn't arrived here yet, we still have lots of snow and it keeps snowing more every day...think I should have a talk with Mother Nature!! lol That phlox sure looks beautiful all spread out like that, it's no wonder you so look forward to driving by there at this time of year. We won't be seeing any flowers here until at least the end of May. Love the kitty smelling the tulips picture:-) xoxo

:) First- the jokes at the end are very funny!

And...
That kitty is very cute and those flowers are very pretty So many of the beautiful things have such a short blooming time!! (all of our spring flowers have come and gone already!) We have to seize the moments as we can when it comes to enjoying spring flowers...and I guess that could apply to all things!

Our tulips are just now opening.
The Dogwood opened today. Guess spring is here BUT they are saying it will freeze overnight on Easter!
Oh, my asparagus is up! Do you have asparagus?

I like all of those flowers in your area...We are getting some pretty spring flowers too. I am still trying to get my garden planted and hope it is not too late for the tomatoes...We have had a really "cool" spring down here and a couple of late season freezes...

Have a Happy Easter!

Cute jokes! I have two cats, one of who love to goes outside. He will meow and meow till I let him out. The other is a strange one. Last year I couldn't keep her in the house. You had to watch the door to make sure she didn't bolt out. But early this winter I had her spade and now for some reason you can't push her out the door, exept at night. If it's dark, she'll go out. Strange cat.
Wishing you a Happy and Blessed Easter!

I pray the tornados are done and you are safe.
We don't have them here and I am sure glad.

JD looks so comfy in the tulips but the poor tulips!!! I hope they weren't knocked down.

I have a pale lavender creeping phlox but as you said the blooms don't last and they look really ratty the rest of the year. Not hardly worth messing with.

I have two of the tall phlox though and they are very showy. Unfortunately the deer eat them so I have to use a lot of blood meal to save them.

I wish you a wonderful Resurrection day celebration.

Ha, ha, tee, hee.... cute jokes!

I've gotten used to the weather changing quickly. When a storm comes through, it usually comes in like a lion, then in a short time, it's over and done with.
We had some bad weather the night before last. Three people in Mena, AR were killed when a tornado touched down there. The storm hit Hot Springs dead on, but thankfully no tornadoes touched down.

I love it when it's hot summertime and then a warm rain come pouring down. Ahh.... We never had that kind of thing in CA. I really love that.

Rachel,
Easter Greetings to you and Phil.
Jesus is Risen!!
Have a HAPPY Easter!!!!
