It's Sunday!!!

I had a can of biscuits to explode in the fridge. First time that has ever happened to me, and I've had many out-dated cans before. I heard the "POP" in there but didn't hear any repercussions, so didn't think anymore about it. Later when I opened the fridge there was all this cookie dough looking stuff all over the place and I'm thinking, "Where did this stuff come from??" I picked it up and it was very crumbly and dry. Then later I got back in there and happened to glance in the door and saw the can with more dough hanging out! Then I had the "Ah-Ha!" moment! I had to laugh! It was one of those cans that have the bits of butter in it, so that's why it looked more like cookie dough.

It's a hard life for a mouser!!

This is my bed and I share it with these two. Always Pup, but the cat, Munchie, only sometimes. You would think with a whole side of the bed to lay on that they could give me a little more room. Pup is 12 now and one of the people that stays with my husband sometimes was out and she said that since she had last been here, a year ago, that she could tell Pup was more rickety. Ohhhh.....my little guy is getting older. I can tell it too. He's such a sweetie and I hate to think of him getting older and having ailments, etc.

This is the color of fall. Pretty huh? Not pretty having to rake all those leaves!!!
This past Friday it was glorious sitting on the porch watching all those leaves falling and blowing. It was very windy and the leaves were coming down and blowing all over the place. Then the rains came and it's gotten a bit cooler. Tonight is going down into the 30's, but not to freezing yet! You can click the picture to make it bigger.

I hope everyone is having a glorious weekend! I hope you all had a delightful Halloween as well. I only had one little ghoulish creature to visit me and that was my great-neice. I'm not sure what she was dressed as but Pup sure didn't like it. He growled at her anytime she was near! She had on a long black dress, black tights, and black shoes, with a black sweater, her hair sprayed black, and her face was painted some sort of a sickly green color. Well....yeah...I understand his growling at that!! :)

Your great-niece sounds awfully scary! I can see why the pup made a fuss over her.

I've never heard of biscuits in a can exploding before. I make my monkey bread out of those refrigerated biscuits and have left them in the fridge for quite a while before I've used them, but no, nothing freaky has ever come of it. I would've panicked if I heard something popping in the fridge!

Cute pics of the pup and cat! Love the name Munchie, btw! :D

Hi Rachel! What a mess that must have been. I remember one night at ceramics hearing a pop. The teacher heard it too, but we thought it came from the store next door. later she went to the refrig and found out what the pop was. A can of soda. What a mess.

This time of year is beautiful.

Munchie doesn't look much like a mouser. Well maybe in her dreams:o) It is hard when our pets grow older. But Pup has still has it growling at your great-niece. I would have been scared too. Lisa

I've had biscuits blow up in the fridge a few times myself. Not fun, but not nearly as bad as when Lamar put a canned soda in the freezer so it would get cold fast, then forgot about it. It exploded and spewed all over everything in the freezer! What a sticky mess! Ugh!

My cat Candy is 16 years old and is really going down, so I know how you feel. It hurts so much when we have to give them up, so we have to enjoy them every day for the time we have left with them.

Leaves are falling like crazy here too!

Happy first week of November, Rachel. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Any time I open those cans and they pop they still startle me, even though I know it's coming! Never had them burst in the fridge though. YUK, what a mess!
Halloween was quiet around here. My kids are older and living out in the country, we don't get trick-or-treaters. I miss all the hub-aloo. Oh well.
I love the color of the trees this time of year and luckally I don't have to deal with the mess of them.

Love your sign this week!

Our fall colors are in full glory today, too. I enjoyed your one-word-answer meme. I hope to be able to drop in a little more often. (I saw a church sign today that dais, "Workers needed for God's Harvest" but I still don't have a digital camera, so you'll just have to take my word for it!

I have never had a can of biscuits pop open either but guess there is a first time for everything. My leaves are up to my knees from all that wind over the weekend. I had frost several times in the past week or so here. Tomorrow, I will start on the raking! Great sign, Rachel. Love your little doggie and cat, too.

I'm so sorry your puppy is declining. I know how awful that is. I got a new pup when my dear old Barnabas was old so I still had a little sweetie to hug after Barnabas was gone.

I had to smile about your biscuits exploding. There used to be an internet joke about a lady whose biscuits exploded while she was in her car. The dough hit her in the head and when she heard the loud pop and felt the dough hit her she felt the back of her head and thought her brains were falling out. It goes on and on and was really funny.

I must have had leaves falling the same time you did and now we have rain too and everything is soggy!

I love spring but since I will be recuperating for the next month or so, I think a little rain might keep me from overdoing in my gardens.
Be blessed!

Pup looks so very very Sweet, Rachel---they noth look adorable there on your bed.
The leaves are Beautiful, but I sure wouldn't want to have to clean them up...lol!
The description of your little nieces costume including Green Face, sounds quite wonderful...!
No one came to my door, but then, I didn't think they would. It's been years since anyone was here on Halloween....! But my Halloween Ladies Who Lunch was great fun---that was on Thursday. (I posted some of the pictures this A.M....if you get a chance, come on by, my dear...)

I share a double bed with a Great Dane. I am lucky to find enough room to lie down at times. She melts my heart when she moves her head to share my pillow so I can stoke the velvet like fur around her head and neck.

Rachel, I can see you have your animals well trained. You could cook up those biscuits for Pup?

Adi is now 13 and is really showing it with so many white hairs. I wonder what color Pup's will turn?

You church sign is neat. Richer, huh?

ALL our pets would sleep with us if we let them, but they are so disruptive during the night that we kick them all out when we shut the lights! The cats wander around, the dog has an itch. Geez-Louize...we wouldn't get any sleep!!! But...I DO love have them up with me while I am watching TV!

When my dog Slim is in the house she doesn't leave my side. We sit on the couch together or in a chair together but Slim never goes in our bedroom or gets on our bed.

We are still traveling and the sites in Arizona and California are beautiful. The time changes are crazy especially since we also had to deal with daylight savings change. We are really confused.

I love the photos of the 4 legged family! I too had a can of biscuits explode in the fridge. It was hard cleaning up the hardened dough when I found it. Have a blessed week!

We've never experienced the exploding biscuits. Can I plant them to scare The Missus?

Fall is so boring here. Oh, wait, it hasn't arrived yet. We're still in the 80s during the day.
