New Roof

Got a new roof on this week. In this photo below they had taken the old shingles off of this side. It looks really nice now with the new shingles on and new gutters, and I'm glad it's done. Those guys that did it are the kind of workmen I like. It's a father and his 3 sons. They were highly recommended by several people. They came in and did the job and left leaving nothing for me to pick up after them. I hate hiring someone to do a job and then they leave a mess for you to clean up after they leave.

SUNDAY SIGNS

(I do hope all you Mother's out there had a truly wonderful Mother's Day!!!) Sorry my signs are late.

There are fewer and fewer workers that do good work like that. You should refer them to people whenever possible. Your signs are always wonderful.

I'm with you Rachel. Part of the job is the cleanup. It's nice when you find people like that.

I know you are happy to have your roof done. I was sure happy I had mine done last year with the rain and snow we had over the winter.
I expected some of the rain we saw at the Derby, but it missed us. It is unbelievable to say it is dust dry out there, but it is. We are hoping to have a little rain later today!
It is wonderful to have dependable people do your jobs for you!

Tales of roofers are horror stories to me. Glad you had good experience. Good Sunday sign.

Like you, I hate workers that leave a mess and when I had siding put around my trim on my house I had to really stand my ground to get the guy to clean up the mess. Hope you had a good Mother's Day. Enjoyed the signs. I know you are glad to get your new roof on. I may have to do that soon, too. It seems a lot of people around here are getting tin on their roof.

I don't know how I missed this Rachel....I am so with you on Workpeople who come in and do a GREAT Job and leave everything clean and neat. I think when it is a Family Business there is a much better chance of this happening....Congrats on the BEAUTIFUL new Roof, my dear.

Rachel ~ The last time I saw you (@ Blog Stock) we were in the process of getting a new roof too. What a mess those roofers can make, but not as bad as the 100 MPH straight line hail winds that caused the roof to have to be replaced in the first place though. ~ jb///

Quite nice, isn't it? Not only you got a new roof, they were also considerate to clean up their mess after they did the job. And hopefully, your new roof will last longer (as it should be). As long as you do regular maintenance, like cleaning your gutters every now and then, it will do just fine.

Sounds like they are the kind of workmen anyone would approve of. You already spent money on roofing, the last thing you need is to spend more to clean up after the mess. I hope your roof is still in good shape. Joann @ AJCRoofing.com

I notice that you have a lot of trees around your roof. Don’t you have a problem with leaves falling on your roof? The moisture of decaying leaves is one of the many causes of the early deterioration of roofing materials. Kerry @ A-AServices.com
