Signs, Signs, Give me a Sign

I took this picture Saturday as I was driving to my brother's cabin. The hay had just been mown and looked so pretty there all in rows. I just had to stop and roll down the window and get a picture.

In this second picture you can barely see someone walking towards the barn. It was a man and a little girl.
I love scenery like this. It's so untouched and pretty, no clutter or powerlines, etc. Just beautiful green earth and the old barn.

At this time of the year we have lots of yards sales around the area and I get so upset when people put up the signs at the street corners and then they never take them down. Grrrrr.... I would like to be the yard sale sign police. They need to be marched back out there at the end of the day and be made to take down the signs they put up.

Tomorrow is election day. Hopefully afterwards they will get their signs up and taken away. The same applies for them as for the yard sale signs. I could be the political candidate sign police too while I'm at it. They'd be easier to track down probably.

So if you had a yard sale and didn't remove your sign then I might be knocking on your door! The same applies if you have run for office and did not take down your signs. The sign policewoman Rachel will be hot on your trail. You can run but you can't hide.

LOL, LOL, LOL! Maybe the thing to do Oh Sign Policewoman is to just remove them when the SALE is over and when the election is over...Or maybe don't wait till it's over...take them out whenever you see them...Just get them out of that ground an shove them in the nearest Garbage Thing! That'll teach them!

Rachel,
I used to live at the end of the street in Tulsa. If they put a sign in my yard, it got thrown away the next day. If they were dumb enough to put an address on it, it got thrown into their driveway.

I'm with you on the signs. I always check to make sure either the winner or the one I voted for, did they take theirs down. If they did I think it is a good omen showing they might have some integrity. Even if they are politicians. (Cliff, I don't catagorize you with politicians.)

I hope there is a nice old Ford in that barn waiting to be restored by a new owner.

A very beautiful scene. I love the rolling countryside and must admit that I do miss that about England. Now I see rolling hillsides of cactus. LOL.

I don't like to see all those signs left for weeks on end. How annoying it can be.

Take care xx

Those pictures are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us.

I agree with you on the yard sale signs. It frustrates me to no end to be going through a beautiful neighborhood or down a countryside road, only to see yard sale signs everywhere!

Enjoy your day!

I'm in luck. I don't have garage sales, and I'm not running for office.

I understand your frustration.

Great picture of the barn, and I think I saw the man and girl. I think.

I agree with you on the signs...they really irritate me when they're left up until they eventually get blown away by the wind. And then they become litter, which is another of my irritants.

Happy Belated Birthday! Love your photos! And I will join you on the sign police... hate those signs that stay there forever.

I agree with you about the signs. I've even seen signs for parties with arrows pointing the way. TAKE THEM DOWN, people!

The photos are nice. Green fields and trees and nature... beautiful. Old barns are so neat too.
