Rain and Crud

We finally got some much needed rain compliments of Fay. I know she dumped heavy amounts on the southern states but when it got here it was just what the doctor ordered. We got nice slow rain that lasted for about 36 hours off and on. We got over 2.5 inches. The grass is greening up already.

I am feeling cruddy this week. I have a cold. Last weekend my stepson and his family was down to visit and he had a cold. Not sure if he passed it on to me, but I woke up Tuesday with a sore throat and runny nose. So I'm not feeling so great right now. I'm hoping the worst is over and that I'll feel better tomorrow.

Enjoy these puns and have a wonderful weekend.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet.He also ate very little, which made him rather frailand with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him .........A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly,so they lit a fire in the craft. Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again thatyou can't have your kayak and heat it too.

An invisible man marries an invisible woman.
The kids were nothing to look at either.

Two cows are standing next to each other in a field.Daisy says to Dolly, "I was artificially inseminated this morning.""I don't believe you," says Dolly. "It's true, no bull!" exclaims Daisy.

The remnants of Fay came close enough for me to take pictures of the clouds, but we didn't get much if any rain from it. Memphis had flash foods from it though!

I hab a code too. ;o) I need a bucket under my dripping nose. I think the worst of it's over though. I'm feeling a bit better today than yesterday. Hope you get well soon, Rachel.

I like the invisible man and woman pun the best. :o)

Have a great rest of your week!

Love and hugs,

Diane

LOL, LOL....Those are GOOD, Raschel, dear!
So sorry you are feeling poorly...I am SURE you got this from your nephew. That's why I don't go anywhere and I don't let anyone come here who is sick with a cold or anything else....I know not everyone can do that, but it had really saved me from some very serious sicknesses....!
DO TAKE GOOD CARE, My Dear...Feel Better Very Very Soon!

Sorry you are not feeling so good Rachel. Take care of yourself and get rid of that cold....There is nothing worse than a summer cold.

I'm glad that you got some rain from Fay, she dumped 20 inches on TF's mom and dad down in Florida. We are preparing for Gustav and hoping he will decide to leave us alone.

I liked the invisible man joke.

Our Kentucky friends didn't get any rain? Glad you did though.

Love the puns. Now go over to Kenju's and read the tombstones for more laughs. The two of you got me going this morning.

Cute puns. The Ghandi one is a mouthful...and very clever.

I hope you feel better! Everyone here has the stomach flu. Not good. Here's hoping it's a 24-hr bug and not a whole "ruin the long weekend" kind of bug.

Loved the puns...they gave me a chuckle.

I hope that you get over that cold and crud really soon and start feeling better.

We also got some of that much needed Fay rain here at home too. I spent a whole week riding in it in Mississippi and then the rain arrived here about 3 days after we got home. It was my first experience in riding in such heavy rains that you could hardly see the roads, but it turned out to be lots of fun. We were on a road seldom traveled which made riding safe in the rain, well as safe as it could be.

Hi Rachel, my raindance for you is still working!
Wait till Cliff reads your jokes, they were quaint but he is a joke critic. He didn't like my carrot joke for last saturday. :-0
