I took Rusty for a walk yesterday and I came across these beautiful flowers growing wild. These were growing on some sort of vine, which kind of reminded me of the wandering Jew plant with the leaves being long and pointed and the vine was very thick. I think these flowers are so very gorgeous, but please excuse the not-so-pretty vase!!  I don't ever recall seeing this plant anywhere before.

Here we are at the start of another weekend and I hope everyone has a great one!!!

That IS Gorgeous, Rachel. I wonder what it is? It almost has an Orchid feel to it--I know it's not, but....
And the Colors....Stunning!

Love that Church Sign, too, my dear.....Hope you are having a good weekend...!
HAPPY SUNDAY, my dear Rachel...!

The flowers are gorgeous. I've got plenty of those "vases" around here if you need anymore!

So happy to know Rusty is settling in and making a good companion.

You certainly display an attitude worth catching.

I do believe those flowers are on a certain type of Castor Bean Vine. Those blooms should produce bean pods.
These beans are poison to humans. Wash your hands after handling any of the pods or beans. I'm told they COULD be eaten if prepared properly. Who would be desperate enough to risk it?

If you get back around the place you picked them from later on this year ... you might check to see if there are any bean pods on the vines.

That flower reminds me of our snapdragons but they aren't wild. Probably not even close, but they do look like something I have laid eyes on somewhere along the line in my life.

It took me a while to catch up. I didn't read your Mother's Day post before, lots of news there. I am glad you are getting around to other places.

The church sign says it right, doesn't it! I hate it when someone is in a foul mood because I am apt to be 'foul' back. But sometimes I act like I don't know their mood is supposed to be bad and try to help them get on another, nicer, track.

Again, I hope your day is nice
and again, Happy Birthday.

Gorgeous flowers, Rachel!
Sounds you have having a great time with Rusty. Just great!

I was just reading the comment of Jim and I read a Happy Birthday to you. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you my dear friend!

About your comment on my blog, I agree with you, I don't think I'd want to live in such a huge, tall and overcrowded building.

Have a nice weekend!

Wow, we don't have any wild flowers that look like that. Great stuff.
Great sign too. It's time to come for a visit R.

The flowers are lovely. Could they be an orphaned domestic flower? Most wild flowers are not so grand.

The flower heads look a little like snap dragons.
