Sunday Sign

I've been lax on my blog again. Doesn't mean I haven't thought of my blogging friends real often though. My life is fairly routine and I figure you all don't want to read about all my routine things. I mean, do you really want to hear about the laundry I did or how I gathered all my recyclable items and took them to the recycling center? We did have an old microwave here that I took over there. I'm so glad they have that recycling center. Recycling just makes so much sense. I can only imagine all the landfills out there and how much ground they cover. I think of the trash that we have alone and multiple that by millions of others. It's kind of shocking if you think about it, and scary too! It can be a pain to recycle since you have to store things until you can take them to the recycling place. But it's definitely worth the effort. Oh gee, I did have plenty to say about that after all, didn't I? I know in some cities they have different bins for recycling and will come by and pick them up.

I saw this little car parked at our local Lowe's recently. I thought it was so cute! The only thing I saw written on the back was "Smart," as to an indication of the model/make. I'm sure this little cutie is quite cheap on gas. I wanted to have a look inside it but there was no one around and they had parked it off by itself.

I thought this field of hay rolled up was so pretty. This only shows part of it. It was really a big area. I love that view with the hill in the background. You can click to enlarge any of the photos.

I hope everyone is doing well and having a great summer. I can't hardly believe that next month will be August already. Seems like school was just out for the summer and soon they'll be going back again. As hot and humid as it's been we'll be talking about how cold it is before too long. The cycles come and go and they seem to come faster all the time. I think that's a sure sign I'm getting older.

America!!

This picture was taken at the entrance to one of our local churches. I love the fact that they put this up. The church is to my back and what you see in the background is the back of a gas station.

We must never take our freedom for granted.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!!
